Designed by Rick Hinderer, a fire fighter himself, this knife has features you wouldn't want to be without. Built in mechanisms like a flip-out safety belt hook cutter, a glass breaker at the end of the handle, and oxygen tank valve opener, this knife is easy to use even while wearing turn-out gloves. The blade has large buttons to make opening easy even with gloves and the edge is fully serrated except for the tip which is dulled so that it will not accidentally cause injury. To close the blade, a button on the handle is pulled back to easily move the liner lock to allow the blade to be shut. The red Zytel handle is easy to see and has dual steel liners for strength. The knife comes with a 9 piece tool kit which includes 3 slot and 3 Philips head screwdrivers, 3 hex nut drivers and a right angle wrench to turn them. All of this fits into a deluxe Nylon sheath which has a pocket for the tool kit and a pocket for the knife, a snap/velcro closure and belt strap system that allows for vertical as well as horizontal carry.
